# GTM4WP 2.0

A new major version of GTM4WP, the Google Tag Manager plugin for WordPress, and the final release of its 2.0 rewrite.

Version 2.0 needs WordPress 6.3 and PHP 8.0 or later. A new setting lets you name the post custom fields that go into the data layer, so a field added later by a plugin or a theme cannot appear on public pages by itself.
